Tapiwa Musewe, BOptom, RO, Bsc Optician
Tapiwa Musewe, is a registered Optician from Georgian College and Internationally qualified Optometrist from the University of Johannesburg, she holds a Science degree from McMaster University.
Her journey into ocular health care led her to establish Kuwona Inc. (founded in 2012, initially as a consulting and mobile opticinary), aiming to address global visual healthcare challenges.
She presented at the Global Specialty Lens Symposium and contributed to Johnnesburg's Ocular Health Program. Musewe's leadership extends to governance roles and volunteering with non profit organizations like CNIB.
In 2022, she served on three committees for the College of Opticians Board, a platform whose mandate is to ensure high quality and safe visual health care to the public.
Recently, Kuwona Inc. expanded its reach by acquiring Draga Vision Care, solidifying its position in the industry and it's commitment to serving the community and advancing eye care services.

Kelly Carroll, CCOA Optometric Assistant
Having been a part of the optical industry since 2012, Kelly brings a wealth of experience and dedication to every aspect of vision care.
Completing the Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant course in 2020, Kelly solidified her expertise, ensuring top-tier service for every patient she encounters. With a passionate commitment to helping patients retain their vision and live their best quality of life, Kelly goes above and beyond to provide personalized care.
Outside of work, Kelly finds solace and joy in the company of her daughter and nieces and nephews, cherishing the moments spent together beyond the realm of lenses and frames.

Dr. Ammar Tukmachy, OD
Dr. Ammar Tukmachy has over 26 years of experience as a specialist ophthalmologist. He began his career in Baghdad, Iraq, after graduating from medical school on December 29, 1991. He completed a five-year residency at the Ibin Al Haytham Eye Teaching Hospital, where he trained in various ophthalmic departments. Dr. Tukmachy then worked as a specialist ophthalmologist and eye surgeon at NMC Multi-Specialty Hospital in the United Arab Emirates for seven years.
In July 2010, Dr. Tukmachy relocated to Canada and became a candidate for the
International Optometric Bridging Program (IOBP) at the School of Optometry & Vision Science. He completed the program in 2014 and resumed his practice in 2016, serving the Greater Toronto Area (GTA),
and has since expanded his practice to include the Hamilton-Halton Region.Dr. Tukmachy actively participates in numerous medical ophthalmic conferences and has a strong interest in staying updated with the latest advancements in the field. His areas of practice include assessing eye refractive states for all age groups, diagnosing eye diseases and congenital ocular disorders, and providing appropriate referrals for specialized tests and management plans.

Dr. Joyce Wong, OD
Dr. Wong was born and raised in Mississauga and completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph. She then completed her Doctor of Optometry, with Dean’s Honours, at the University of Waterloo. She has worked closely with retinal ophthalmologists during her rotations to better understand retinal pathologies. Dr. Wong takes pride in patient care and strives to find eye care solutions that work best for them.
She is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrist and is licensed to fit contact lenses including ortho-keratology lenses (Ortho-K), prescribe pharmaceutical agents, and manage ocular diseases. Her area of interests include myopia control, dry eye management, and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Wong speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and welcomes patients of all ages. In her spare time, she enjoys playing badminton, cello, and traveling.
